Mucota Hair Treatment by Artistry Hair Professional

View my updated post on Artistry Hair Professional here: http://theblushlush.blogspot.sg/2016/11/artistry-hair-professional-finally.html

Recently I went to get my hair done at Artistry Hair Professional (previously known as Headlines By Artistry)! I got my hair trimmed, dyed and also did their Mucota Scena 3 step treatment. I really love how my new hair looks like now! (They also have the signature Mucota Argan Oil Treatment!)

The picture below shows how my hair looks like now after 1 day + washing my hair. Unlike many other salons I’ve been to, the effects are still there and it’s not like after you wash your hair at home, the effects of the treatment will be gone.

Didn't even have to blow dry my hair here!
The Before

I was really unsatisfied my hair before I went to Artistry Hair Professional. I’ve pulled out a few photos of my hair so you could have a look at how bad my hair was.
These pictures were taken only one week after I did some Argan Oil Treatment at Salon X. The effects were not too good as you can see that my hair still curls at the end even though my natural hair is straight. Also, the stylist at Salon X had cut my hair in a very weird way! You can see that my layers are super uneven and some lengths of hair are so short compared to the others. My hair was also left looking very flat at the top. I feel bad quoting names here, so if you would like to find out, please send me a message privately.

Super flat hair here!

What I did at Artistry Hair Professional

I really love the service at Artistry Hair Professional. The stylists were all so friendly. You can choose from the different drinks they have there like milo or green tea. I decided on green tea.

I told my stylist Chris to cut my hair shorter so that I could get rid of my layers. Chris hair cutting skills are really superb! If you’re looking to cut your hair, you can definitely look for him. It’s probably one of my best haircuts I had!

This is how my hair looks after cutting my hair. It’s still rather frizzy but I’m glad the ugly layers are gone! This costs about $50-$90 (depending on the stylist you get) for a hair cut for my long hair.

I then decided to dye my hair since the last time I dyed my hair was probably 2 years ago? Chris was very patient when listening to what hair colour I was looking for. I told him I didn’t want anything too drastic, something work appropriate and something with no red undertones.

Chris brought out this colour chart and recommended the colours I should take based on my skin tone.

You can’t really see the colours here because of the lighting, but I finally settled for level 7, Jade.

This costs about $140-$160 for my hair length.

Lastly, I decided to try out their 3 step Mucota Scena hair treatment which was recommended by Chris. I saw many other blog reviews on it saying it was the best treatment that they had so I had rather high hopes for it.

3 Step Mucota Scena Hair Treatment

I have to say that this treatment is one of the best treatments I ever had and it met all my expectations. Other treatments usually only have 1 step but this has 3! The effects are almost like rebonding, especially for people with naturally straight hair like me. My hair really feels so soft now. According to Chris, the effects of this treatment can last up to 6 weeks! There is no ironing of hair involved, just steaming. I will update this post with some picture of my hair after 1 day and after 1 week so that you can have a good idea of the effects of this treatment.

Here are the products that was used for the Mucota Scena treatment. The team was kind enough to let me take a photo of the products. I have labelled the products A, B and C.

For Step 1, the stylist applied cream A for me and then steamed my hair. After that, he rinsed my hair off with cold water. This cream is to soften my hair and help my hair better absorb the other products.

For Step 2, the stylist sprayed product B all over my hair.

For Step 3, the stylist applied cream C all over my hair and steamed my hair. After that, my hair was rinsed off with cold water.

You can click on the pictures below and zoom in to read more about the products. Note that only salons which carry real Mucota products will have this information guide (From personal experience, i know of salons that claim that they also use argan oil in their treatments but don't actually use Mucota products).

I am really convinced by the whole Mucota range of products. They’re a Japanese brand and very effective for Asian hair.

Here’s how my hair looks after the cut, dye and treatment!! The stylists only blow dried my hair!! No ironing involved!

You can see that my hair is much less frizzy than before! Chris then applied some hair oil to my hair to keep it hydrated.

You can be assured that all the products they use are really top notch and very high quality.

Here are some more photos of how my hair looks like after washing it by myself at home so here are some photos I took.

My hair still feels super soft even after washing!

The Mucota 3 step treatment costs $140-$180 depending on your hair length but it is so worth the price paid!

There’s this special promotion that Artistry Hair Professional is having now and it’s going for $58 for a Mucota treatment (1 step only) and hair cut. I think this is a really good promotion if you want to try out the products by Mucota.

I also heard that they do sell Mucota products there and I’m really thinking of buying their shampoos and conditioners because the effects of Mucota products leave my hair feeling so soft! Plus Mucota products smell really really good.

Poulet at Raffles City

Gab and I headed out for dinner today and we came across this deal at the Poulet outlet at Raffles City so i thought i should share this with all of you!

This $9.90 deal is valid till 16th June 2016 (Sundays to Thursdays)! I really love this deal because it comes with a quarter chicken, your own choice of side dish (mashed potato, french fries, chestnut butter rice or baguette) and a cup of ice lemon tea. Me and Gab both got one set meal each!

Their service was rather fast and the staff were all friendly, polite and helpful.

Their ice lemon tea was not those kind of teas you get from the vending machine. They really brewed the tea and it was not sweet at all, which is a good thing for me because i'm trying to cut down on my sugar intake.

We got their potato mash as one of our sides and this was SO good! It was so creamy and smooth and not too buttery!

They serve thick cut fries. Nothing really special about this though.

Here's their quarter roast chicken that they serve. This was so good! It was so well marinated and it tasted both sweet and savoury at the same time. The skin wasn't too crispy as well– it was just right. They probably have one of the best roasted chickens i've had in Singapore! It's super flavourful!

Here's one of their signature sauces. It's their mushroom sauce. You can add this sauce so that you can drizzle this all over your roast chicken so that it wouldn't be too dry. The best part is that it's actually quite a huge serving (enough for 2 quarters) and it only costs $2!

I would really recommend trying out their roast chicken with mushroom sauce and their potato mash! They also have a truffle mash and i'm intending on trying that the next time round i'm there. As for the fries, i think you would be better off giving it a miss.
